I have granted them insect-hunting rights in the garden. They are nothing like pond-frogs, which are much larger and afraid of humans. I share your aversion only in the matter of toads --which, when I was a child and tried to befriend them, would pee in my hand.

Thank you for your kind comment on my poem. You encourage me. I figure, if creatures as defenseless as treefrogs can share my rung on the evolutionary ladder, there's much to be said for peaceful coexistence --and maybe for eating bugs.Geo.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16221314320558128986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6143998869718488694.post-40332444150456806412017-08-25T21:54:17.913-07:002017-08-25T21:54:17.913-07:00Kind Emma, thanks. We were both out in the garden and I pointed the little frogs out to her --she hadn't noticed them. She went indoors for her ipad and I told the frogs she was coming back to photo them. They held still in the lily leaf. They are friendly little things and I always check for their presence in doorsills. If they get indoors, I reach out and they climb into my hand to be transported outside. Have already conveyed your compliment to the photographer.Geo.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16221314320558128986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6143998869718488694.post-81015475325204258662017-08-25T21:39:49.686-07:002017-08-25T21:39:49.686-07:00Greetings to you as well, my positive-thinking fri...Greetings to you as well, my positive-thinking friend.
