Hymn To A Cosmic Clock
Like a clock, Time must include Spring and escapement-- Lest all at once unwind-- In planetary paths, blue iris Swirls and bearded falls Under astringent harmonies Sung in moonlight and sun. After rain it opens and, In its time, is done.
Not much time but enough and oh so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteTell Norma I love her photo, oh, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteAnd Geo, I love your poem.
Happy Easter, may joy abound ....
A beautiful ode for the Easter season.
ReplyDeleteBut it always springs back. So which is more real, the manifestation or the force that ceaselessly resurrects it? (Both, in their own way, I presume.)
ReplyDeleteHey Geo! Those really are some interesting irises; my mother would not approve. The words are lovely and gently elusive for me. Nice work, Sir! Indigo
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment! I had a happy Easter too ^^
ReplyDeleteI so love irises! You've versed this to perfection, Geo. Another NormaP victory, too!
ReplyDeleteThose Irises are sure very pretty and so is your poem.
ReplyDeleteYes,
ReplyDeleteBut who the Hell keeps it wound up?
Beautiful picture and poem...you two work together so well. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I came back to read this today after your mystery worth solving.
