Bee Friend
Much of what is useful In me is also in a bee, And more compactly Contained despite different Brain dimensions and Intentions over zinnias. Still, we garden together Again, as we always will, And remain --as we have From birth, friends on earth.
You are so right. Bees are indeed very intelligent and talk about being organized and cooperative. Yes, they are my friends too. Your poem shows how humble we feel in front of nature. The picture is beautiful and to have captured the beauty of the rare pink must have involved quite a few of takes. Norma must love her work.
I have befriended bees in my later years. They hold the universe in their little palms. Beautiful photo by Norma. Zinnias are so wonderful ... always the last to go in my garden. Lovely poem.
It is nice that you and the bee have bee-friended each other. I know you were expecting it but it had to be said.
