Only A Few Months
Over the southwest Field, where new grass Strives with old and Yellow light lines Earth, the blue Hour lowers. Air is still cold, but Soon, birth below Will lift flowers And trees must sprout Their lace of leaves Across the summer moon.
As I read this I felt the new life, waiting just below the surface to push through and announce the approach of spring. I felt my spirits lift...it won't be long now...:)
Hello Geo!:) Many thanks for your visit and good wishes. I wish you and your nearest and dearest a very Happy New Year. I love the last two lines of your poem, Their lace of leaves across the summer moon. It's quite cold here, only 4deg and when I look out of my window and see the bare trees, summer seems a long way away, but you have left me with a beautiful image of promise. Warm Regards.
Even cold weather a great opportunity to create poetry. I managed to restore my blog by removing the last post and then reposting it. Grrr..... it took some time for the title to appear on the followers blog list, but did at last, thanks.
Really nice poem to go with a nice photo. Waiting for spring time has a good sensation. Like my husband says , it is nice to get spring time after cold as we can appreciate it better.
My you are optimistically hoping for an early spring. Lovely images came into my mind as I read.
