Pansy
Splash of color over A decaying can-- Some music cast into Time-- plays sunlight Like a chime, a flash Forgotten, a rhyme, a Tone brief and bright-- A life of its own.
One of my very favourite flowers. They are so cheerful even on the dreariest days.
ReplyDeleteThey ARE cheerful, Delores. A dear friend from my gardening days said she loved their happy faces. People are affected by flowers. Good thing too.
DeleteIt's a lovely contrast that Norma captured and you amplified. Beautifully written, Geo.
ReplyDeleteO_Jenny, thank you. When we see the impossible colors of pansies, Norma and I simply have to make something of it.
DeleteThat was so lovely, Geo, both in picture and words.
ReplyDeleteDear Arleen, that poem was dictated by a pansy hanging out of an old washtub. Norma's photo caught the contrast.
DeleteGreetings from very wintery Alberta. No splash of colour here at this time, friend Geo … not even hardy pansies … Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteDear Cat, then I'm especially pleased to furnish the flower in the photo.
DeleteI especially appreciate this phrase: "plays sunlight like a chime." Another beauty, Geo. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteKind Robyn, thank you.
DeleteSo incredibly beautiful...that I am moved to tears!
