The Light
Light has no age, no temporal
Flow, only a momentary
Rainbow where dreams
And lifetimes go --a
Universe, where thought
Has found us and light
Of other days surrounds
Us: countless stars shine
Like ours --we circle one.
Its brightness; yours, mine.
Spectral light, we are one.
Nor is our best yet done.
Absolutely beautiful, Geo.
ReplyDelete"...a momentary rainbow where dreams and lifetimes go..."
Jon, in spirit and thought we are inside that spectrum --all of us. To you and all who do our best, thank you.
Delete"Nor is our best yet done" - a compelling thought, one I hope and believe to be true also.
ReplyDeleteOur life-works are impelled by thought and hope, Jenny --and love. If you believe, it is true.
DeleteOh I do hope we have a 'best yet to come'....please.
ReplyDeleteDelores, in the fullness of time, life moving through the moment, the spread of compassion and tolerance into the spectrum, the best is clearly yet to come.
Deletesubtle poetry my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletebest is yet to come ,i agree
light is gifted with power to pierce a strong thick sheet of darkness and we can be lucky to adopt this gift even a bit of it is enough
Indeed dear Baili, we are products of astonishing antiquity. The light raises seeds from the planet, gives us eyes to see, minds to understand. We have all provisions of better future. We just have to do it.
DeleteIt happens every now and then, friend Geo, that one reads 1 word wrong and the meaning of the poem changes 100%. This just happened to me as I misread your word "momentary" as "monetary" … I don't know whether I find this funny or scary … I decided on scary cuz it makes me realize how little attention I sometimes pay to what people have to say … and that can come with serious consequences. I hereby vow that I will be a better listener/ reader. Love, cat. PS: Absolutely AMAZING Normaphoto … thank you.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, dear Cat. Happens to all of us! Will pass your kind photo compliment on to Norma.
DeleteThis is most hopeful, beautiful, and free-flowing.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, dear Geo.
Thank you, kind friend. We'll try hard to be hopeful, shall we? Wonderful weekend to you too.
DeleteNorma does not ever cease to amaze and your poem does just enough justice to her work while still reminding us of those special times when our mind forgets the worries of life.
ReplyDeleteI have not written in a long while and yet I am lucky to enjoy beautiful posts like this one. Thanks for sharing.
Kind Munir, I am so happy to hear from you --to learn Norma and I have brought you something enjoyable as well. I thank you in return.
