Our dreams fill with light,
Miracles, fear, darkness,
Noise, joys, sorrows of
Waking at tomorrows
Relit in night where ball-
Lightning gets us biddable
And living skies anoint
New lives --a plenum,
A focal point in thunder
Tells us where to run
Under shelter --a heart melter
From about and above
Teaching us to be in love.
Your poetry is always beautiful, Geo. And I always, always learn a few new words. You have an extraordinary vocabulary.
ReplyDeleteThanks O-Jenny, for your very encouraging comment!
DeleteMy how you weave words so beautifully. "...noise, joys, sorrows of waking at tomorrows..." Love it and you, Geo.
ReplyDeleteDear Robyn, Love appreciated and reciprocated. I don't write poetry because I'm much good at it. I do it because it's fun and I don't have to wear a helmet.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely poem!
ReplyDeleteMost kind, Lon. Good to hear from you again!
DeleteWell-woven verse.
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear Sandra. Warp and weft have always secured ideas, experiences and the fabric of poetry.
