Sunday Garden Tour
Sunday garden tour talking with Jim --mostly just sitting With him in dappling light Where shadows danced Down a breezy tree To table top in front of Him and me -- entranced.
Seating wasn't mine but surely welcome after all our walking. Shade welcome too --and general. You know old neighborhoods, they look like forests from the air.
Sitting in dappling light - just talking - shadows dancing down a breezy tree.....
ReplyDeleteI like the soothing images, Geo.
It was a soothing tour. I think photo was in (sculptor) Gerald Walburg's, garden --one of 7 or 8 we visited Sunday.
DeleteThat's some mighty fine outdoor seating you have there ... dappling light is nice, too. :)

DeleteThis seems like pure heaven to me.
ReplyDeleteApt observation! "Paradise" comes from the old Persian word for walled garden.
DeleteA lovely image. Two friends relaxing in a serene setting. The only thing missing is an ice cold drink.
ReplyDeleteThat might easily be what we were meditating on, Emma. Fortunately, that neighborhood is well-equipped with watering holes.
DeleteWe young people sit just like you and Jim, albeit with video game controllers in our hands.
ReplyDeleteThat's definitely a good way to practice. The art of sitting and doing nothing does not come all at once.
DeleteA very pleasing rhythm, G.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suze. The rhythm extends to all gardens, apartment flowerpots, giant forests --everywhere.
Delete:)
DeleteSitting under a tree is nice and yet nicer with company.
ReplyDeleteIt has always been nice --in childhood playing, and now with old friends.
DeleteCan I occupy that empty chair...?
ReplyDeleteWe'd be honored!
