Enduring Dragon
Your enduring dragon , Invisibly yoked, led Thunderheads over Here in the night. At first light he flicked His mighty tail and Snapped his traces, Kicked away and sailed On to other places.
If you would like to read a fun story about dragons and Alice (from Wonderland) try this: http://everyday-adventurer.blogspot.com/search?q=dragons&x=0&y=0
I am utterly mesmerized! Oh how I adore dragons - even those who usher in storms...and here is such power, such mysterious energy...oh wow...what a photograph!! Please can you send him my way? *smiles*
Thank you, Ygraine. The photodoodle depicts one of my favorite dragons. You can learn his origin by clicking onto the word, "dragon" in poem's first line. He was born on your side of the Atlantic and surely must return to help the weather sometimes.
The storm dragon is supposed to visit here in a couple of days. Great picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma, I hope Dragon brings gentle rain.

DeleteRead the story! Thanks, Emma. I happen to know dragons begin as wood too, and drift from high water into imagination.
DeleteIt is Dragon! I am very happy to see him in flight :-) Thank you Geo. xx
ReplyDeleteIndeed, he is most graceful, and useful in our droughty state. It is I who should thank you!

DeleteMany thanks for that, Geo.
DeleteI have just returned, and found the visit fascinating...:))
I got lost in thought at "invisibly yoked." That's a sign of your magic with words.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, my friend.
Thanks, Robyn. You have a great week too!
DeleteLove this picture! I'm fascinated with dragons so I really enjoyed this :) Such a wonderful poem! I hope you are doing well, Geo!
ReplyDeleteMost kind Beate, dragons are fueled by fascination. Hope you and Keith are doing well too.
