The Genie Is You
To feel time Is to hear the Genie addressed In future memory-- The wish and The wish recalled. The wish is always To be the genie Who makes dreams Come true --and That is you.
How the genie Makes dreams come true No one knows Doesn't really matter who is who Cause no one has a clue
----
Did you know there are ancient Indian texts called the Puranas, which write history in the future tense? This must have given them a kind of authenticity and authority in that time.
In other news, you inspired me to try my hand at a bit of poetry after 15-16 years, Geo. Now I am afraid I might end up doodling as well!
Thanks for alerting me to the Puranas! KK, from following your blog and appreciating your comments here, I'm confident you'll make a fine poet. Doodling is a side-effect --you'll get used to it. All best wishes to you.
A delightful piece, there is a genie in all of us it would seem. Thanks for sharing and greetings!
ReplyDeleteGreetings to to too, Blogoratti! Indeed, the pasts and paths we have made for ourselves are the work of genies.
DeleteSweet and whimsical. Your artwork is so realistic, it appears I can pick up the paintbrush through my screen.
ReplyDeleteBe well, Geo.
Thanks, Robyn! Most of my doodles are of things I find on my table. I have always been fond of my spoon too.
DeleteLovely ... and the drawings are excellent. You have many talents, Geo.
ReplyDeleteO_Jenny, most kind. Doodling is an old habit without which I would not recognize myself.
