Dear Rick, I had not heard of Kearby Topher. Looked up samples of his beautiful pages on Google Images and am quite impressed. My doodles come from my journals with the 1st draft of the poem --which is different from Topher's typed fair copies-- but both techniques are personally effective. Thanks!
Lovely doodle, lovely photo, profound poem. I like.
ReplyDeleteKind Emma, it's a poem reworked from my journal and I'm sure glad you like it.
DeleteNice
ReplyDeleteSujatha, thanks for the encouragement!
DeleteInteresting read indeed. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteMost kind, Blogoratti. Thanks!
DeleteYou've made me cry, Geo. We all need to hope that our note is clear and crisp and adds to the symphony ...
ReplyDeleteWonderful poem, and Geodoodle, and Normaphoto of same.
O_Jenny, your tears are endorsement. We are part of something tremendous and beautiful!
DeleteEach one
ReplyDeleteA different quiet
Lasts just a while
But in my mind
It is eons of time
The ringing and quiet
So loud, so fine
Are yours as much as mine
Eloquent KK, You have the brave heart of a poet, and lend confidence to the future.
DeleteThis makes me feel at peace, and I love your drawing too, Geo. Virtual hugs, friend.
ReplyDeleteFriendship and virtual embrace enthusiastically returned, dear Robyn.
DeleteWonderful. And what a perfect drawing to accompany the verse.
ReplyDeleteThe one brass note seems particularly fitting.
Sandra, you encourage me and I appreciate it.
DeleteI love this poem. I just finished Watercolor Words by Kearby Topher. I love his work too.
