Norma

Future is at best a
Dappled thing --time
Dancing, light, leaves--
That retrieves
Starlit sky from
Focus in early
Westbound blur
On an east wall.
Amnestic reel calls,
Spins where Norma is.
A new day begins.

  1. Your love, Geo, comes through in a beautiful way when you speak of Norma. For all of us hopeless romantics, it is lovely to read. You are both blessed.

    1. Hopeless? Far from it, Arleen. The strength and gentle joy your comments carry are raised in hope. Thank you.

  3. What a lovely photo by--and of--Norma, and your poem does justice to both the lady and her art.

  6. Bravo! I love the photo and the poem. Sorry I have not visited lately, but it's all I can do just to make it to the grocery store. Words fail me big time, so I no longer write or blog.

I wish you and Norma all the best in the world. These are hard times. We all need to support each other (as best we can). Big Hugs to both of you....

    1. Dear Dylan, so happy to hear from you again. Thank you for your generous comment. It means a lot. I think of you, even during this paucity of writing/blogging, and fully agree with the need for mutual support "as best we can".

  7. The lines
    And the picture
    Both amass
    A lot of Goodwill
    And each is
    Surpassed
    By the other
    But together
    They make
    A great pair
    Like you guys
    Geo and Norma

Here's hoping for a lot of happiness together for you and Norma!
