Janus Before Seven

{back yard, 11-28-14}

Time to sit on a log
And be spellbound
In pearl early light
Turning in low fog.
White tendrils curl
Up from earth,
Ghosts churning
White over winter
Fields.
Not a sound.
How to consume
This crop, this yield?
Sit on a log, be
Spellbound.

  5. Love the feel of this, and thanks for finding me again after Google took over Picasa and I lost my photographs, several years work.

    1. What a calamity, losing your photos! But of course I had to find you again.

  6. I just got lost in this poem during a second read, Geo. It's so beautiful, as is the photo. I especially like the sound and feel of tendrils curling from the earth.

    Be well.
