LOVE LOVE LOVE this, Geo!!! So few words...such profound meaning. Living wood...like in my log cabin - there are eyes everywhere - I always feel I'm being watched...;))
Kind Ygraine, sometimes it's necessary to reduce an idea down as far as it will go --turn it into garden stepping-stones or a log cabin. We are reality observing itself.
For some reason my comment did not transfer to you. I noticed that the eye is an optical illusion. First it looks in one direction then it seems to shift and look in the opposite direction.
You should learn to be brief in your word :)
ReplyDeleteMy sad attempt at humor. The illustration for this poem is striking.

Humor most welcome! Poem started as "Seven Words...", so that's progress.

DeleteHAH! Well done!! Amazingly eye-like knot, as well.
ReplyDeleteO Jenny, thanks. Norma found the knothole on our property. I found the poem in my back pages.
ReplyDeletePerplexing, intriguing - fun word play. Applause, Geo.
