Over Rainflowers and For Love
I began a journey long
Ago, am old now --
I know, I know-- but
Something strong, bold,
Gave purpose, emerged
Out of all --right and wrong--
All lyrics, songs in life.
Enthralled, I still have some
Some strength if called,
Whenever or where, and
Shall in all my best be there.
So beautiful and touching.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Delores. This one came from the heart.
DeleteThat is all we can promise, and all that needs promised - who could ask more of anyone?
ReplyDeleteO_Jenny, to be where we are needed, when we are needed, is a great privilege. One we wish always to be able to accept.
DeleteThank you, Sujatha Sathya, your comment encourages me.
ReplyDeleteYou may be old
ReplyDeleteOr so I am told
You've got a heart of gold
And inner beauty to behold
I am glad to witness your and Norma's stories through your poetry, Geo.

DeleteDelightful monorhymed quatrain, dear KK. You definitely have a feeling for poetry. I just read it aloud to Norma and she likes it --so do I
DeleteUpon a second read, I can't help but think that you have arrived with this beauty, Geo. In all your best.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, my friend.
Dear Robyn, I can run a long time on your blessing --and your friendship. Thank you.
DeleteWe are all getting old. You have reminded us all how age can have meaning that is beautiful and tender as well. The beauty in your poetry tells that time has only enhanced the fine sense. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteKind Munir, thank you for reading my poem and leaving such a thoughtful and encouraging comment. I hope we age to a kind of harmony with the universe --have always hoped so.
DeleteSo beautiful, Geo...just to be there through the years is a true privilege...is the meaning of love...:))
